The Hidden Storm: an emotional journey with type 1 diabetes
The manuscript The Hidden Storm: an emotional journey with type 1 diabetes is completed and currently submitted for publication. The hidden storm is the book I wish I had when Manuel was diagnosed at age 7: it helps understand the mysterious world of a chronic disease that unpredictable changes. It is a tool to better understand what to expect today, tomorrow and the day after. The hidden storm explores the emotional aspects of diabetes from diagnosis and through childhood, adolescence all the way to adulthood.
The manuscript will be translated into French and Spanish in 2026.
PAZ ESCOLAR
Paz Escolar is an innovative program supporting the emotional development of children aged 5 to 12, while promoting the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the classroom and at home. The program is under the supervision of Centro Esperanza in Chiclayo, Peru.
Paz Escolar is available in Spanish and free of charge to teachers committed to eradicate violence from their classrooms.
